A Titania Panoramic Cottage in a leafy and quiet location on the beautiful 4* Castels & Camping l’Orangerie de Lanniron site, set in the grounds of a 15th Century Chateau beside the river Odet near Quimper, the ancient capital of southern Britanny.
Built in 2005, this mobile home sleeps up to 6, with a master bedroom, twin/double bedroom and an extra pull-out bed under the lounge seating. The large picture windows looks towards the river. There is full-length raised decking with garden furniture on a wide sunny plot, surrounded by bamboo, hyderangeas and a large variety of trees and shrubs.
The mobile home is fully heated, with both gas and electric cooking facilities, and sensibly laid out with separate shower and w.c. and a galley kitchen with plenty of cupboard space. There is WIFI on site, and a t.v. connection, so this is a complete home from home if you need it to be.
The ancient town of Quimper is within walking distance, as are the Geant & Carrefour shopping malls, whilst the onsite shop provides basic essentials and take-away meals in high season. A few minutes drive away are several south-facing beaches, each with a different character, whilst Britanny is home to many sites of Art & Culture including the walled city of Concarneau, Dinan, Quimperle, Josselin castle,
Pont Aven with its artists,etc. each with its own Festivals and attractions.
As you can see from the website www.Lanniron.com the site offers many recreational activities such as swimming, golf, fishing, canoeing, bike hire etc. If you wish to let out your mobile home during the holiday season the Lanniron Management will offer to do this for a 30% fee or they are happy for you to find your own tenants – for which they charge you 31 Euros for a ‘Welcome Pack’ which includes preparing the mobile home for new arrivals, a guided tour of the estate and help and advice – so be sure to factor this in to any charge… they also offer linen hire.
As with all mobile home sites, there is an annual Ground Rent, so letting it out helps offset this if you’re not planning long residencies yourself…
If this is to be for your sole family use its possible to stay on site pretty much all year round, though they will need to do essential site management like felling trees and draining water tanks during the winter months and officially close down from November to February.
The area is served by many regional airports including Brest, Rennes & Nantes, and very cheap flights are available from Southampton, Birmingham, Luton etc. with car hire available on arrival. LD Lines provide the cheapest sea crossing, from Portsmouth to Le Havre, unless you prefer to do the cheap Dover-Calais crossings which involve a longer drive.
