The Location
Corsica deserves its reputation as "isle of beauty” (Île de Beauté) - it is certainly the most beautiful and unspoiled paradise island of the Mediterranean, offering an incredible variety of landscapes. 200 km from the French Cote d’Azur – perhaps less from the Tuscan coast - the southern-most tip of the island (Bonifacio) is just a few km from the Italian island of Sardinia. Home to a great number of indigenous species of animals and plants, Corsica has several national parks and the environment is well-protected. Although these days the island depends heavily on tourism for its survival, the Corsican people have been hostile to the development of sprawling tourist resorts. As a result, the island remains remarkable unspoiled and the tourist accommodation there is blends in perfectly with the environment.
The island is easily accessible from any of the Mediterranean ports (Marseilles, Toulon, Nice, Genoa etc.) and the NGV (a fast ferry) will get you and you car there in just over three hours.
Bastia airport has flights to Nice, Paris and Marseille and to the UK during the summer season!

Bastia (25 km): N193 and N198, at 15 km, take left D106 until the sea - Ajaccio (135 km): take N193, N198 - Calvi (98 km): take N197, N193 and N198.
By ferry:
From Bastia, regular lines from: Marseille, Gênes Golfo, Aranci, Livourne, Nice Piombino, Savona, and Toulon. NGV: 2h45-3h30 ride from Nice to Bastia.
By plane:
